Average height off the ground???

We are designing our robot to lift other robots off the ground. So we need some info from your team. We are trying to get some averages so our lifter can fit most other robots. What is your robots height off the ground? And what is the distance between wheels?
Thanks

Going to have to assume that its ground clearence due to the fact the numbers are in inches. So anyone what is able to make a robot that completly folded up stands at 5 inches and is able to unfold an arm that can score on the top goal, deserves an award.

If someone can mae a robot with 5 inches of clearance they should get an award because then they made the life of a lifter bot team so much easier

Re: Average height off the ground???

Does this apply to 4 or 6 wheel robots, or to tank tread designs?

This would apply to a 4 wheel robot we have another way to get a 6 wheel or a tank treaded robot off the ground.

what about two wheel drive robots... I will give a team that can lift them up a cookie* The robot must only have two wheels.

*to be eligible for a cookie the team must be attending Mississauga or Waterloo such that I may guarantee the cookie's arrival

Re: Average height off the ground???

Wait. . . people are already building robots!?!?!

We have barely decided on what we want our robot to do.

Last Year we had a problem, no engineers. This year we still have a problem,
engineers who won't stop arguing specifics when we're only talking general
ideas, who then discourage the students from talking specifics.
Plus we have no money.

Dont get too discouraged if you are not building yet...just try to keep everything focused designing either general or specific. If it helps sometimes you can explain it to the engineers as trying to work out the what before the how.

Best of luck
