program camera

I used the kevin.com site to download the frc camera stuff. I used the workbook provided and I'm trying to program the camera. Right now I have power connected from analog output from the controller. I tried using a pwm but it never receives a problem. I tried using a multimeter to measure the voltage on the pwms but I don't receive any kind of power. So I used the 5v that should work. Also I have the serial port connected to the computer. I switch it on, everything is good, there is a red and green light on. I press the program button but it never changes to orange. Plz help quick. thanks.
