Re: How Far along is your team in the 2007 build season?

Our team has some designs down but because we are such a small team, we have to do each part of th erobot one at a time. But we've begun building the chassis and we have a design down for our delivery system. There's nothing really outside of that.

Lets see...Field element (Spider) is 95% done, will be completed when we meet to work on it in about 45 minutes. As for the robot, the chasis is assembled and we have ordered all of the drive system components we needed this morning. We will be ordered the manipulator components in a few days to hopefully have everything assembled Sunday night. (hopefully...).

Re: How Far along is your team in the 2007 build season?

I had a huge McMaster order and other parts that were supposed to be delivered to the school. But the school asked FedEx and UPS to not deliver on friday - monday due to us having no school. They didnt bother to tell me that. So I had meetings planned for all 4 days, but no parts. So we worked on other stuff but dont have to much to show off right now.

Re: How Far along is your team in the 2007 build season?

We have built our competition chassis and drivetrain. We're done with about 3/4 of our design and have began building part of the robot. The programers have an idea for autonomous and hvea started work on that. We've gotten materials for the rack, and by about friday or so we should have about 1/4 of our competition robot completed...

Re: How Far along is your team in the 2007 build season?

Our team has finished the drivetrain, the ramp and all the electronics/pnuematics. We built the basic frame portion of our arm which is only the beginning of what should take us about a week to do, since its all designed already.
Then we will work on fine tuning with better, more efficient, parts. Add on bumpers, make the controller, and powder coat. That's another week right there.
And finally, drivers practicing, practicing, and practicing. We need our last week to have parents and the community come, pack our crate, and other materials that we need since we have to travel so far from Hawaii.

Hmm...we are about a week into build season. =)

We got a piece of the field built and designs up. But other than that, lips are sealed
