Save $5 on your CIM purchases

I was just looking for a print from the BB site,* when I noticed that the coke can size CIM will be available from Banebots starting on Wednesday (1/17/06).

Looks like they've reduced the price too ($23 rather than $28). I don't suppose the discount is enough make or break your team budget but hey $5 is $5.

FYI.

Joe J.

*I that wish they had more of them and that the ones they had were easier to find! -- Are you listening BB???

Re: Save $5 on your CIM purchases

one thing that i found on the BB site which was slightly strange was that....

If you order an encoder for your motors it is $38

but if you want to add an encoder as a package, the price becomes $48

typo maybe

It has to be a typo. Becasue, if anything, you would give a discount when someone buys a bundle.

Not in this case. They charge more for the bundle in order to cover the labor cost of mounting and calibrating the encoder, and adding suppression caps. From the site:
Quote:
We offer a reasonably priced installation service option when you buy an encoder with a gearmotor. With this service we will install suppression capacitors on the motor, mount the encoder, and calibrate (align) it.

Re: Save $5 on your CIM purchases

I believe that the additional charge includes assembly and calibration of the quadrature phasing. Separately these are not simply a plug and play item.

It's worth ordering from Bane Bots simply to help support such a cool company. There are only so many business that cater to FIRST teams, and Bane Bots has really gotten behind FIRST. Great products, great prices and you can call them and talk to real live human beings who know what your talking about.

Bane Bots is a real class act.
