Question Camera Problems

After setting everything up for the camera, all we got were error messages. The computer said it needed the default information, CMUCam2 demo.llb, to set up the camera. we downloaded this and attempted to upload this to the frc controller. MPLab would not change this to a .hex file.

So, if any one out there knows what we did wrong, it would be greatly appreciated if you could correct the errors of our ways.

Re: Camera Problems

CMUCam2.llb is an application that you can open through LabVIEW 8.2 Student Edition, which came with your Kit of Parts. If you are having issues with the software for the camera, try downloading camera software from kevin.org/frc.

Re: Camera Problems

Yea, we got all of that but we are not so sure as to what helps and what just fills up our memory.
It's not that we are having issues with the camera, but we are having trouble with labview.

Re: Camera Problems

The .vi file needs to be opened in LabView. This is NOT the camera code. Tweaked values can be exported from LabView.

(I think this makes sense. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remembered it right.)

So basically there are two different things. The first is the folder with the stuff for LabView, and the second is the camera code for MPLab. These are in no way related as far as files.

Kinda new at this, but have spent many hours on the computer getting it to work,
Jacob

Re: Camera Problems

I'm sorry, but that is the single funniest thing I've ever seen on the internet and I couldn't let a good joke go unnoticed. I know this has nothing to do with FIRST, but I geeked out so much I couldn't help myself ....
