Greetings Teams:

Congratulations on completing Build Week Number 1! We are sure your robots are well underway and are looking forward to seeing their amazing designs in five weeks (remember, you will have the opportunity to provide a robot photo for your team yearbook page) and in action at the regionals!

Please read the following important information.

Additional and Championship Event Payment Deadline:
Please remember that all additional regional event and Championship event payments are due at FIRST by January 26, 2007. This also means purchase orders must be paid on or before January 26, 2007.

You can:
Mail check to: Finance Department, 200 Bedford Street, Manchester, NH 03101 (if you have access to a fax machine please also fax a copy to 603-647-5772 so we know it is on the way!)
Pay on-line (via TIMS) with Visa, MC or Amex, or call Finance with credit card information at number below
If you are not able to have payment in please contact Finance at 800-871-8326 ext. 414 or 450 to discuss.

**Note for Championship Pending Teams**
As of today there are 172 teams in pending, with 76 openings for the Championship. This means that when the first 76 teams pay (PO, commitment letter, check or credit card) the remaining 96 teams will go on a waitlist.

Gyro/Accelerometer Board Deadline:
The deadline for requesting the gyro/accelerometer sensor boards is this Friday, January 15, 2007, 5 pm EST. Remember, there is no charge for these boards. If you think that these boards would be an asset to your robot design, please email sensors@usfirst.org and let us know!

Mentoring
We want to be sure all rookie teams are matched up with a mentor and all teams willing to mentor are working with a rookie in need. If you are without a match, please go to http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc...nt.aspx?id=498 to find one via our interactive map. You can also find one via TIMS. Click on the "Search for Team Contacts" link off of the Team Summary Page, proceed to "Search for Team Mentors" or "Search for Team Mentees."

New! Team Search Feature in TIMS
Many of you have asked for the ability to search by team number to find contact information for a fellow team(s). We have heard you! This feature is now available in TIMS. Click on the "Search for Team Contacts" link off of the Team Summary page and proceed to the "Search for Team Contacts" field on the next page. Enter the team number and the system will retrieve their information.

Please note this feature will only retrieve team information FIRST is authorized to share (i.e., teams that have specifically chosen to share their information with other teams.) FIRST values the privacy of its teams and will not make available information for which we do not have authorization. I think FIRST meant January 19th as the deadlin, not January 15 since the email was dated 1/15/07.
