Mmmmm... Swiss cheesed robot... Now all you need is some bread and an oven.
So you are going to possibly lose 4 lbs? Well what I would have done, just for looks and structure. I would cut it in a triangular pattern, if there was time to do that.  Overall Great job, you guys seem to be well on your way to finishing. A moving bot in the first week is a good thing to have.
