Just a followup to Steph's post.

We've established the Garrett Engineering And Robotics Society (GEARS) to be a permanent home for our many FIRST teams, and to foster other local robotics competitions and activities.

The county has been very gracious to let us use a 6000 sq ft facillity (which was unoccupied), as a place to meet, design, build and compete robots. It's an amazing space.... and we want to use it to spread the word. We've just laid out a full size FRC field and installed the RACK.

So, if you live within an hour or so of Deep Creek Lake, Western MD, consider bringing your drive team down for the day. We're 5 min from Wisp Ski resort, and we're looking to form alliances (the general kind) with any tech teams in the area. We do FRC, FLL and have created a Sumo LEGO competition called SuGO so there is plenty of variety.
