The man to ask is Dr. Joe Johnson. He was heavily involved in the design of the 56mm gearboxes. As much as I know of Dr. Joe, I'm guessing that he is willing to bet his life on them.

I have a question for the whole gearbox situation.
Is the gearbox previously mentioned, http://www.andymark.biz/am-0011.html , legal for this years competition? And with regards to the Banebot gearbox, some in my team think that it's not strong enough to be used in the drivetrain. Any tips would be great. Thanks |
