Servo Control?

I am trying to operate a servo with the first controller. For some reason I can not get the servo to operate by plugging it into the pwm output even though my speed controller works fine when plugged into that output. I am using the 2004 controller. Any suggestions?

Do you have the backup battery connected? It is required to power the servos.
