Re: Compressor included in weight?
The Q&A can give you a definite answer, if you can get thru, but it sounds to me like they mean:
You can decide to have the compressor onboard or offboard. The onboard compressor weight is not like the battery or ramps, it DOES count as part of the weight of the robot. Leaving it offboard saves weight, as the compressor won't be part of the robot's weight. The note means that your offboard compressor plumbing and wiring systems need to comply with the robot rules, as far as how it is connected, having pressure regulation and safety valves, and other safety considerations. |

Re: Compressor included in weight?
Squirrel,
Just so as not to confuse anyone, the battery is not included in the weight but all attachments are included. Bumpers are weighed differently after the robot is weighed but ramps must be included in the weight. |

Re: Compressor included in weight?
You need to decide whether or not you NEED a compressor on board. If some type of pneumatic device is powering a crucial part of your robot, like something that will actuated a bunch of times, then a compressor would be required incase your air supply runs out. But if you only need no more than 4 full tanks of air on your bot, then leave it off for the weight.
