FRC103's Field Model

Just curious what everyone thinks about our rendered feild. The chain is off on the center rack and the panel in the back is a different color than it's suppose to be, but we fixed it. It took a while to get the lighting down too, but it still needs a little work.

Re: Robert Thacker-Dey

I meant to title this 103 Field, but for some reason I wrote my name. Sorry, just been writing a lot of papers lately and I'm used to it.

Re: FRC103's Field Model

wow good job. Are you going to be posting it on your site for download or not? I am still looking for a field model to use. Your work is great. I can't wait to see the robot!

Just about done with ours. All we have left is the rack. And the chain on the rack.

Re: FRC103's Field Model

Use team 1156's field model. We had our rookies design the field this year and I can see where they lacked in detail. They're getting a lot better though. It'll still take some time before we finish ours.

And nice job, 1156. That looks really good. I am going to render it and see what it looks like. I'll put it up when I do.

Re: FRC103's Field Model

You don't need to. You can use an already made lighting style and change the scale and position that the lights hit the field. Click the Lighting Styles and then click on some already set lighting style (we use Blue Hue Lighiting). then click the position tab and click on the arrow. Select a face for the light to focus on. I clicked the top of your center goal. Then where you see scale, turn it all the way up to 1000%. Sometimes the lighting may come in upside down from what you want. To fix that, just click the flip light position next to the orientation plane.

This should save you a lot of time.

Hey - that looks really great guys! I can almost hear the crowd. I wonder if we could come up with floor plans for the regional venues so you can model them, too...
