Fortunately, instead of decreasing, the number of teams in Hawaii doubled from last year from two to four teams. Returning are teams #359 (Hawaiian Kids) and #368 (Team Kika Mana), with team #2024 (Waiakea Robotics) returning after a hiatus and rookie team #2090 (PETTronics). Also, to have a regional next year in Hawaii (shown in this thread), Hawaii must host at least 12 local teams to get the $1 million grant from NASA to fund the regional. Hopefully, this means an increase of over three times the amount of teams from this year. ~
