Re: Stressed yet??

I would say our team is about a 9....we lost a whole week due to an ice storm....we would be at a 10 but we figured out what kind of drive train we are going to use today

Don't you hate how a bunch of small, insignificant changes can bring the whole system down?

Re: Stressed yet??

Low stress now...plenty of time, robot weight is not a problem.

High stress is when the robot is >20 lbs overweight the weekend before ship!

Don't let it happen to you!

Re: Stressed yet??

Probably only a 3 right now, as we have our chassis & transmissions assembled and are working on our tower/ramp base structure at the moment, plus the only thing left to really decide on is how to exactly do the ramps.

I'd say just a week ago or so I was at a 9 though, since we were rushing to get our Championship PO through as well as get all the information for paying for it to students, while working out a t-shirt quote and finding presents for my girlfriend's birthday in the midst of it all.

Re: Stressed yet??

Well right now i am not that stressed but we have some goals on our team that have a deadline of next Tuesday so as it gets closer to that date I will be feeling more stressed.

The real stress though comes as we get closer to ship date

Re: Stressed yet??

Right now the lack of sleep doesn't let us realize that we are stressed. Wait a few weeks and let the sleep deprivation build up and suddenly BAM stress.

Re: Stressed yet??

I can't believe that no one is stressed Even though things are running smoothly with 492 I am afraid that something will pop-up, something will go wrong. Maybe I am just paranoid.

Oh yeah, stress level: 8.

Yesterday about a 6, today down to a 3 (due to solid construction progress), tomorrow: the sky is the limit.

Re: Stressed yet??

This time last year, we hadn't even decided on a final design.

This year, we have a moving base, a solid arm design, control system plans, and a rough electronics board.

Stress level is about a 4, just because I had finals last week and yesterday. It's going down now...whee!!

Re: Stressed yet??

If it weren't for that bloody rack, we'd be at a 2.
Instead, we're looking 7-ish. Not in panic mode yet, but the finger's not that far away from the button.

Re: Stressed yet??

Our Team is about a 3, we have been working diligently and have a good thing going now, but we usually have our robot done in the last week, so we dont get stressed until about week 5 1/2 and we dont have anything except our drivetrain together

Re: Stressed yet??

Stress let's me know I am still awake.

We are in a...decent...place as far as building is concerned. Dynamically as a team is another boat in another ocean. If things stay on track. We should have a moving bot within 96 Hours.
