Exclamation KOP Joystick thumb pad

Hi,
we are trying to use the little 8 position thumbstick on the KOP joystick and are having some problems, in easy c, when you try to get the Digital OI Input in the RC Control section, it asks for a button, what button is the forward and reverse on the thumbstick, or how do i find out what it is?
thanks
malhon

Re: KOP Joystick thumb pad

to my knowledge(and I have taken these things apart) the thumb pad is not wired in to the DB15 port.

Here is a good diagram. I forgot who made it though, but thank him.

I beilive everything but that thumb pad is used. But look at that diagram and just try it out. If its not listed in EasyC its probably not wired.

Re: KOP Joystick thumb pad

the trigger, the 2 buttons to the either side of the thumb pad, and the button to on the side(where your thumb goes)

Re: KOP Joystick thumb pad

The multidirectional "hat" switch is connected to the analog "wheel" pin on the joystick port. Use the Dashboard Viewer program to see what values correspond to each direction.

(By the way, it only has four real directions, but some of the diagonal combinations do give unique values.)
