The Tech Museum is always nice. Down the street and around the corner is the California Theater, which sometimes shows old movies, complete with pre-show cartoons, newsreel and the mighty Wurlitzer organ. If there's a show while you're in town, I highly recommend it. A little farther north, in Mountain View, is the
Computer History Museum.
