Endowment Funds

This year MOE 365 took a new step in fund raising for the team- we started an endowment fund at the Delaware Community Foundation. The endowment fund lets us put money in that is preserved in perpetuity, while generating income each year. Admittedly, the starting sum is quite large, but it also gives us greater visibility in the philanthropic arena so that we can attract donors to FIRST. If anyone has questions on how this works or how to start one, let us know!

That is pretty darn cool!

I had a couple of questions.
Firstly, in what ballpark was your starting amount?
About what percent do you earn a year?

Thanks!
