Is the PVC (or whatever that is) just pressed onto the window motor's output pinion? If so, what size PVC is that?

I beleive that may actualy be climbing tape, we used it in FIRST Frenzy to lift our robot. It's remarkably strong

Neither, its tubular nylon. Its rated to 1500 pounds and is used in applications such as rock climbing, parachutes, etc. Should be more than enough to lift the ~5 pounds this thing lifts.
