Our robot is finished (1st phase), ready to test. However, the fine tuning, programming, calibrations, etc. take a lot of time. AND, our drivers are terrible at the moment (new this year). Cant emphasize enough that driving is a KEY part of prepping during the 6 weeks. Robots, IMO, should be done at the latest after 5 weeks.
To ensure this, we spent many weeks prior getting things ready rather than waiting until kickoff. Veteran teams do this and/or have materials ready. I understand that not every team can do this, like US. But there is a lot of things that teams should and can do to not waste unnecessary time.  Last edited by waialua359 : 31-01-2007 at 20:43. |
