Team #2231 Website!

Hi all!
I'm from team #2231 - OnyxTronix , we are a rookie team from Shoham,Israel and we would like to share our new site with you.
The site is 100% built, programmed and designed by our team members.
We got forums, gallery, private messages, update system, calender and language system(all of those were programmed by us in ASP).
Some stuff is still need to be added to the site like the about us page and links page but the most is finished and we will add those stuff soon.
We really want you to check out the site , give us your opinion about it and to register and be a part of our community!

So you custom coded your own forums?

A few pages are missing but im sure you will add them when you have time. On the forum logon maybe change it from "Submit Query" to "Logon". Other than that it looks pretty nice.

yes. all the site was coded by our own team members and its 100% original code!

The only suggestion I have is that the News page should be edited to better utilize the width of the screen. It just seems like it's floating in space.

You NEED to do something about that photo gallery. I'm running a pretty heavy machine here, but when each image loads the full image and just scales it down, that's a 5 MB + page. It locked up my best home machine for two minutes just loading all the images, then scrolling was awful, too. You probably want to use something server-side (or at least pre-client, even if that means manually) that creates thumbnails of each image.

I'd also suggest finding someplace to host the images that doesn't have it located on 20 different subdomains. That just slows the loading process a little bit more.

i dont really like how the scroll bar is on the left but it other than that its a great website. now did you guys do all your own custom graphics for it or what??

Great job, guys!
We wrote a lot of custom code for our website (rides- and filesmanagement), but nothing as impressive as yours!

But please, get rid of the marquee! Marquees are so 1997

Marquess are also not W3C standard any more. I know they still work, but I would avoid them as much as possible.

I'm almost sure it had been designed in photoshop... you can ask Alon Kfir if you want(he is the leader of graphics and animation crew) his details are in the team members section.

And about the marquee: its gone.

Very nice. My only advice is to center or extend the navigation bar and graphic.
