Re: DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION!!!

Eh, after February 20th, I'm definately going to force the team to buy me $50 in DDR turns. My legs are turning super stiff.

If all goes well, they'll let me program the robot to take commands from a DDR pad.

I LOVE DDR! However, my mother wont get the game for me. You know that ones on playstation and stuff. So, I found this really cool site called FFR. Flash Flash Revolution. My Screenname on there is Jaimenjones. Maybe we can challenge sometime. Heres the link - http://www.flashflashrevolution.com

Guitar Hero is good btw, but has anyone played Guitar Freaks? Or Beatmania? Beatmania sounds awesome
If I get the opportunity to, or have some time to spare, I usually pick up a bit of basic Beatmania:

My hope is one of these days I stumble upon an arcade with one of these:

Got a friend who plays this pretty well, and on his trip to Japan last year picked up one of the arcade cards that went along with Happy Sky (BM IIDX 12)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0T2dHZ2wJk
Video of someone scoring a AAA grade on Xepher (one of the greatest songs in Beatmania period)

Thought it would be inspirational

If you want to play Beatmaina on a arcade console, come to the VCU regional! In our student commons (about 4 blocks from the Siegel Center) we have Beatmania, Parapara, DDR, and that other hand waving game that I can never remember what it is called.

Re: DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION!!!

Well, I play StepMania on my computer with a DDR Dance Pad for xbox that I hand-soldered to be a USB controler. The reason I did that is because my Xbox decided to break all of my CDs by writing a circular ring through them. I lost MegaMan Collection, Star Wars Republic Commando and DDR Ultramix 3 - the only games I ever played on the system. So I gave up on it and soldered the controler so that I could use it in StepMania.

I have a boatload of Japanese stuff.... I love Japanese songs and themes... I have lots of stuff like ltf-mix and foonmix and stuff like that. I can pretty much ace mostly every song with a rating of 8 or lower.

And I use the CyberiaStyle 3 theme which is awesome beyond reason. I'm also trying to make some songs for it and I think I'm getting better as time goes along and I get a better feel for which difficulty should play like.

Is talking about StepMania or other DDR simulators off topic? Because if it is, I appologize.
