My bad. That should be rendered as "everybody will do their storyboards after they finish their animation."

Re: Electronic Story Boards

since storyboards are concept, it doesnt fit 100% with the final animation... so they would catch those ones who didn't plan before animating...

That's sort of like drawing plans for a house after it's built.

I wonder why so many people are intimidated by the storyboard requirement?

Because
  1. They're not used to doing storyboards
  2. It's a requirement
  3. and they score on how well it fits the animation

Re: Electronic Story Boards

Quick question about storyboards. Have all of you been uploading storyboards to your official team websites, or have people also been uploading to personal sites? It'll be easier for us to upload to a personal site and provide that URL than it would be to find out what the deal is with our team website. The rules simply say "...post on your website and provide a URL..." so it seems like this should be ok...

Re: Electronic Story Boards

Our team actually had the storyboard done long before the animation this year (first time for everything, right?). I didn't look at those examples but ours were just hand-drawn, hand-colored pictures that were scanned into the computer. That should be fine for this... that's sort of what a storyboard is anyway. And our animation basically follows it identically as far as concept goes.

EDIT: Ours is on a personal website which can be found here. As you can see I did doodle up a little HTML page for it, nothing fancy. That page will also spoil the concept of our animation. I would stick the thing on Youtube but I'm having to skip school right now to get it uploaded to FIRSTBase.

EDIT 2: Our animation picture is linked on there above the storyboard. In case anyone's interested, that is an actual screenshot from the animation (minus the text).
