No. You have to use the anderson connector, the 120 amp breaker,
the terminal block, and at least one of the fuse panels included in the
KOP wired in the manner described in the rules.

With regard to the integrated IFI fuse panel that so many teams
loved so much, I would like to mention the five stages of grief...

Denial (this isn't happening to me!)
Anger (why is this happening to me?)
Bargaining (I promise I'll be a better person if...)
Depression (I don't care anymore)
Acceptance (I'm ready for whatever comes)

Get on to acceptance as quickly as possible, you only have two
weeks left to wire your robot, and wire it according to the diagram
as clarified by the QandA when appropriate.

Have fun,
Eugene

Ain't that the truth! It's amazing how much we have saved over the past 2 seasons with the IFI board.

I am not sure but maybe the status of purchase ability Here may have something to do with the legality of use.

My job is to get my team to the fifth stage, Acceptance. However, if I can not do that, I would like to get them at least to the fourth stage, Depression. Yes, If I can get me team depressed, I will have done my job.

FIRST is the wrong place to be sending a petition. You want to petition IFI to convince them to start making them again.

Or maybe the legality of use is the reason for the status of purchase ability. Or maybe it is a combination of both. My guess (emphasis since is a guess and not fact) is that FIRST found a cheaper alternative (which is what we often ask them to do) for the kit and although many people liked the IFI panel, and they would be able to sell quite a few, the risk of not having a guaranteed 1,000+ sales made it not worth the risk.

Whatever the reason I agree that FIRST should work hard to try to get a custom fuse panel similar to the IFI fuse panel because it did work so well for FIRST teams needs.

I disagree. Having custom parts that are useful only for FRC should be something to avoid. (I do not complain about the IFI control system, because it provides a good level of safety and guaranteed compatibility with the competition field electronics.)

No. Because of Team Update #2, things that used to be COTS are still allowed, even if they're out of production, so long as they are unmodified. The problem is that <R46> disallows all "fuse panels different from those provided in the Kit of Parts", which would include the IFI panel. I suspect that this is why IFI is no longer making them, and not the other way around. So, I would petition FIRST.
