Re: Screws in Inventor

If you want to model screws, just make a plain cylinder for the threaded part of the screw. Then use the Thread tool and choose the cylindrical surface. It won't show the physical shape of the threads, but it's better than making a complex set of features that's only a rough approximation of the real thread shape. The Thread feature is fine because it sufficiently represents the design, including thread standards.
