Re: Fisher Price Motor 9003 vs 9012

We received 9003's in our kit as well.
I emailed FIRST, but saw no response, so we had to eliminate them from our design.

Any chance of obtaining legal one's from a nearby team that isn't using theirs?

FIRST Q&A says they'll replace them:

It appears that a small number of teams may have received the -9003 FisherPrice motor instead of the -9012. If your motor is labeled with the -9003 part number, please contact FRCparts@usfirst.org and we will work to get you a replacement.

Re: Fisher Price Motor 9003 vs 9012

We got the wrong ones too...We were going crazy thinking someone stole themf rom us becasue we couldn't find the correct ones anywhere until we saw the little note about the mishap. we've tried to contact FIRST to get new ones as per the Q and A with no success. We NEED them, anybody not using them? We'll trade...

Re: Fisher Price Motor 9003 vs 9012

Yeah, we got the 9003's as well. We probably received the replacement 9012's about week ago. Of course it may have helped that we are based right near Manchester, NH...

Re: Fisher Price Motor 9003 vs 9012

Your best bet now would probably be to get them from your local power wheels service center.
