Microswitches

Hello,

We would like to ask you if we can use microswitches other than the ones that were supplied in the kit?

Thanks in advance,
Team 1943

Re: Microswitches

Yes. Just be sure to account for them in the BOM.

Re: Microswitches

jhallel,
It is understood that switches of any kind can be used on the robot as long as they are acceptable through the flowchart in the robot section of the manual. Additionally,

<R72> All outputs from the sensors and additional electronics circuits used on the ROBOT must be
connected directly to other custom circuits or the analog or digital I/O on the Robot
Controller. It is acceptable to wire switches used as sensors in series or parallel with each
other.

Additionally both the RC Ref Guide and the Tips and Guidelines documents have discussions, hints and wiring guides for sensor inputs.

Please be sure that all connections made to switches be insulated and the switches wired in accordance with the above rule. If you have something unusual you wish to use, it is wise to ask the question of the Q&A.
