Re: CNC Machines
I make parts for 1024, but the machine shop I work at is not related to the team. ECU has 2 cnc mills, knee mill, engine lathe, a couple gantry mills, grinder, etc.
I don't go to the school where the team is... but at MCC where the team is based there are PLTW classes available, dont know exactly which ones. -q |

Re: CNC Machines
Take a look into FlashCut and Ace DXF converter. They are free, and easy to use.

Re: CNC Machines
172 has access to a 3 axis CNC router at the high school, as well as a number of CNC mills that we haven't been able to work with at one of our sponsor's shops.
We used the CNC router on the 2006 robot to put the team logo into a few pieces of lexan, but that's about it. I would make more use of it this year, but the only person that knew well how to use it retired, and I don't have the time to teach myself during the season. Hopefully next year though... |
