Little Black Box
Want a portable electrical/electronic system to drive your robot ? Then build yourself a Little Black Bob as seen in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw7-EVB-XZU This box is not for competition but for testing and training. It utilizes a 72 mhz RC transmiter and reciever that hooks to two Victors with a special PWM cables. The battery is inside the box along with the reciever and its battery. The main breaker, fuse block and Victors are mounted external. So what does this do for you? You can take any robot with motors and drivetrain and have it moving in just a few minutes. Did I say you could make a practice bot very quickly with one of these?

Re: Little Black Box
What about programming?
Using a FRC control system is a lot better for a practice bot. This might be useful for quick bench testing, but that's about it. |

Re: Little Black Box
I think that is awesome. We used a similar setup for our team's home made Go-kart last year. Works well.

Re: Little Black Box
It doesn't need programing. The three channel R/C radio transmitter has it built in. You just select elevon mixing and its ready to go.
