17 deg right now (wind chill is 0 deg.); wintry mix of sleet, snow, freezing rain for today. Less snow fell than they had predicted, but the ice is worse; the college I work for closed today!  Am sitting by the window watching the squirrels and songbirds at the feeder (beautiful to see cardinals and blue jays on a background of white snow) and working on updating the NEMO website with a hot cup of tea and heart-shaped blueberry pancakes (thank you hubby!)... I learned today that sleet is frozen precipitation that falls from the sky whereas freezing rain is raindrops that freeze upon contact with the frozen ground.
