Re: Vegetable bot
That's pretty interesting. We were actually thinking the same thing. We figured that the robot-lift would be the biggest feature of the game, and if we could design a robot that did just that every single time, it would be pretty good.
However, we never seriously focused on that idea because come on, that would not be fun at all. |

Re: Vegetable bot
I hate to play the role of devil's advocate here but... what if a robot of the opposing alliance pushed you out of your home zone because they had THAT much pushing force and none of your alliance partners had enough torque to push you back in?

Re: Vegetable bot
While simulating the game at the beginning of the season, we had bots like this in a couple of our matches. The end results were mixed, but typically the other alliance would establish a pretty decent lead on the rack from the 3-on-2 advantage they had. The alliance with the "vegetable bot" could be fairly competitive if the ringer bots spent the entire match disrupting opposing rows (as opposed to building their own) and the other alliance didn't have as much of a lifting bonus, but in most other situations, it got beaten pretty badly.
