Truth be told, you can only do "so much" if you only know "so much." Trust me, 3ds Max can do anything. ANYTHING. Just look at the Pixar movies.

While we understand that 3DX Max can do "anything", your un-gracious replyis a little un-settling. We were looking for help, not criticism!

Ok, I take full credit (and full responsability) for the power plant. In the beginning when Gutgarts assigned me to make a "power plant," the first thing I thought of was a nuclear power plant.

So I started on it, and as I did it, I was under the impression of all current forms of energy are bad (as you can tell, I'm a bit pessimistic when it comes to people saving the enviornment). I am aware now that nuclear power plants do not necessarily pollute the air (I still do not agree with it being the best source of energy, but that's not what this is about).

I did not plan on worrying about this, or else I would have started over. I prepared the second draft of the narration, in which it had a very brief explaination of the power plant, but this wasn't carried over to the final narration. Believe me, it made a lot more sense before the revision.

Any more questions about the power plant should be directed towards me.

Yes, what is the normal power output of the plant, and what emissions does it create?

Don ;-)

Um... what I meant was questions about why it looks the way it looks and how it fits with the rest of the animation, but I can play along.

Output: A lot
Emissions: Steam, smoke

Re: Team 1676 Animation - Finished Product

On my way to Lubbock this past December, I saw rows of wind turbines like the ones in your animation. Your animation gave me the same feeling as I had while on the road. Those things are cool.

The Autodesk upload site is currently working. Autodesk contacted us and told us it was working, and we successfully used it.

Re: Team 1676 Animation - Finished Product

After viewing other animations which have been posted by other teams, including a more experienced animation team, I believe ours holds up.

Buddy, I saw your message, and I didn't really find that offensive. I like the fact that we all came up with generally the same thing. I like it because then we'll be on the same page later in life when we are designing windmills with real materials

Yes we are still trying to upload. However, we recieved an email from Autodesk/FIRST (i'm not exactly sure who) but they are aware of the problem, so it seems, and are attending to it ('so it seems.')
