help-Camera doesn't see the light

just keeps scanning, "searcking" in the comm window. I have it printing the T packet data, it's all zeros. ( lens cap is off). Camera works ok using the cam gui software on the serial port. Last years camera, same thing. Tried increasing the delay in trackin=g.h that waits to lock on between scan steps, tried opening up the default min and max collors for the track color command in camera.h.
This was working in the classroom, tracked the green light nice, but we went to another teams playing feild and didn't see anything. I have it set up at home now, and still getting 0s from T packet.
Any ideas?
