Annoying constraint errors...

Does anyone else have trouble with constraints? I get constraint errors for no reason! It's so annoying. It says that the constraint isn't possible because of another constraint. and there is no other constraint in the entire assembly!! arrgh

Re: Annoying constraint errors...

well, if you mess up on a constraint or click on the wrong thing, you MUST go back and either edit the constraint or delete it. If you don't you will just constrain on top of other constraints which will "over constrain the sketch." If that is not the reason why you are getting errors please include more details or screen shot of the error in a reply so that myself and other people can be of more assistance.

I have never seen this problem. Do you have the parts grounded (thumbtacks in browser)? Can you zip and post the iam and relevent ipts here

Re: Annoying constraint errors...

Are any of the parts you placed assemblies? If you use sub-assemblies, you may get this error.

Re: Annoying constraint errors...

One other item you may want to check for is a Flush constraint if the part was "Created" from existing geometry. I have had to delete the flush constraint many times on parts that were created in place.

Good Luck
