There's the correct link.
one word of advice: make sure you use the wiring diagram found in the official FIRST drawings (the link above). Do not use the one in the "Guidelines, Tips and Good Practices" manual. The diagram in the manual is a bit confusing, and the jumper from pin 1 to pin 4 of the digital relay is very easy to miss if you confuse it with part of the coil symbol on the drawing. Several teams have made this mistake, and assumed that their light was not working. When wired correctly (per the 2007_ROBOT_SIGNAL_LIGHT_R1 drawing), it should work fine.

Does an input signal from the field to the light when plugged into the official field control the power on the light, or should it light up under normal operation? (Re: Turning the bot on in the pits?)

We had an issue with it not lighting up, but assumed it may have been something that was controlled by the field, so didn't worry too much about it. We had confidence we would get the problem solved the Thursday of our first competition by asking other teams what it was supposed to do/did for them.
(Pesky little light doesn't need to give us headaches, when we have other more important things to worry about electrically before shipping.)

I don't know what diagram we used though, that may just be the problem.

Re: how to put that light ?

El,
The light functions just like Team LEDs last year. Tether up and enable and you should see the LED on top of the relay and the Amber both light. If you don't see the relay light up (ours is kind of dim) then you have a wiring problem between the team color connectors and the relay or you have been shipped the wrong relay. If the relay is lighting up but the amber is not, you may have not installed the jumper on the relay from pin 1 to pin 4.

Ok Thanks Al!
No biggie I guess, like I said, just one more thing to tweak Thursday at our first regional.

Thank you!
