I love the jaws!!! This is the first robot I've seen that has a mind of its own, and cool looking, too. Can't wait to see your team at Silicon Valley.

Yup! They are the ones off of the big wheels from the mindstorms kit. They were perfect for sucking up the tubes.

the lack of helicopter awesome is a dissapointment, but i think this design looks sweet. What goals can you reach and what kind of arm is it (too lazy to really look at pics).

Awesome robot! Tell me, how many ringers can you get on in the 2 minutes with it?

We are in the 120 lb. class and can reach all three levels. Our drivers were able to pick-up and score a tube (leaning on the wall) about every 10 seconds. We can also remove spoilers fairly easily.

As to our arm, its basically just a welded aluminum triangle powered by a big CIM.

Good question. We might know if:

A. This robot was ever on a practice field.

B. We could have practice field pieces.

C. We had ever driven this robot before 5:00 Monday night.

The electronics were finished Sunday night, and we were trying to make the programming jump from prototype to final on Monday.

It would have helped if our prototype actually had all the sensors that our robot has. Oh well, it works.
