With the wrist and claw the arm is less than 7 pounds.

Let me say this about our arm, it can go high enough that it badly damaged a ceiling fan (11-12 feet up, I might add--this robot will certainly be capable of scoring ringers on the high goal!) set to high speed. The arm was completely undamaged, but a team mentor spent several hours attempting to bend the brass fittings of his fan back into shape. By the way, the arm is constructed out of foam and fiberglass.
