I think all this info we are sharing will help know what your alliance partners can and can't do before matches its looking pretty good so far after just a few hours

Here are the teams I have info on

753 -Track Design (Big surprise) Haven't seen anything besides that
847- Arm Ladder Type Design can score on all three
955- Didn't get to see, apparently overweight they were still working on Saturday(Scrimmage was at 955s cafeteria)
956 Can't Climb on others (2 2 inch traction wheels, and 2 casters), can score on all three heights
997 No Arm, Track Design (from 753) Two fold out pneumatic lifters
1087- I want to say it was 4 WD, had an arm, don't remember how effective
1359- Ramp for two bots, 6 WD, Arm for all three goals (more effective for lower 2)
1510- 6 WD Bot, that can climb (on us at least), Good Arm, Can score on any goal I think (effective on low and middle)
1425 -Picture of their two bots are in the gallery somewhere

Hey guys,
Im from team 948. We have the ability to consistantly score ringers, and can place them at all three levels. Last night we added a dropdown ramp on one side, a cover across the top, and a dropdown platform on the other side. (long night) Hopefully we will be able to support two robots at above twelve inches, and Im pretty confident we can do one. We were working on autonomous up until the fedex truck came.

114 probably won't share pictures or videos until we open our crate at Portland, but here's a couple specs on our monster:

-10 foot forklift scoring mechanism, with dual camera controls to automate scoring in both autonomous and teleoperated
-Automated de-spoiling system, ready for on the fly use
-Simple rack scoring setup, with buttons for different postions
-2 speed drive train (5fps and 15, or push and sprint)
-low CG (approx. 8 inches off the ground)

And, as always, the labcoats will be out in full force.

114 Where can you score and do you have a ramp Ramp? just trying to get some info on all the teams no big deal though

We score all rows at a disturbing pace, and decided to use the weight for a beastly scoring system rather than a rampbot. We've taken our philosophy of picking one part of the game and prefecting it to the max this year.

Well, it's in the crate now... and sitting at customs, but never mind that...

We'll be posting a few photos to the media section later, but here's a quick glance at what we hope will be a good scoring machine. It was inspired by the teams last year that were able to drive up on the ramp and "slam dunk" the balls without ever really aiming. With the low front on our bot we should be able to just drive forward, smash into the base of the rack and self-align. With the ringer held parallel to the floor, it should be an easy fit.

At least that is the theory. We are equipped with a CMU cam and three ultrasonic sensors for finding the light first, then the base of the rack. These can be switched on in telop as well as auto, so scoring on the back side of the rack will hopefully be easier... although just smashing into the base with the bumper aligns us pretty well, too. We still need to test the sensors on the open floor, but it works in small tests on our mock up in the shop.

The lift can reach all the way to the top, but we will probably focus on the middle and bottom rows.

We have no ramp, but can climb at a 20 degree incline, perhaps steeper, and have a belly pan to protect us from forklift designs. It runs on mecanum wheels, and we seem to have them tweaked for fairly decent performance.

Some clips from the build period are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyn9e0cT3-A the sound and editing leaves a bit to be desired, but you can see the robot come together from the first test drive chassis, to testing the PID feedback loops on the drive wheels, to doing some test climbs right through final arm operation. As usual, wooden components play a significant role... "wood is good".

Team 949

Has an operational ramp (for 1 bot, 12 inches) the ramp is at a 30 degree angle and was designed for bots to drive on top of our robot.

We also have an arm that is planned to cap on all arm heights. The arm has 2 joints, a shoulder and an elbow.

Drive train is similar to last years (6 wheel drive).

After our scrimmage, Team 956 quickly identified the importance of climbing on others and corrected the problem.

Scoring machine, verticle lift, pneumatics with pre-programmed stops and programmed pick & place sequencers; Dead reckoning autonomous mode (cross your fingers), CAN climb steep ramps.
