Re: battery connector

Jeff,
It is a Molex connector and available through Digikey. They will also build custom battery packs to your specifications if you need something bigger than the 700ma Hr pack that is in the kit.

See the bottom of the page at:
http://www.ifirobotics.com/accessories.shtml

But, seriously, if you are going to buy connectors, get a connector that does not have the risk of being intermittent. Use the 15 amp powerpole available at:
http://www.powerwerx.com/category.asp?CtgID=3014
They are cheap and will not have problems with intermittent connections.

See information I posted here a few weeks ago regarding an alternate battery as well as part numbers for the IFI supplied battery connection.

I was unable to find any Molex connector that was mechanically the same, perhaps you can reference Molex part numbers.

Dimensionally, the only connector I could find that mated to this is the Tyco (Amp) Mate-N-Lok series connector. I confirmed this using a caliper to measure the existing connectors and compare them against Tyco's drawings, as well as confirming that they mate properly with the IFI supplied connectors.

On these parts, and many others, Mouser is a bit cheaper than Digikey and if you just need a few dollars worth of stuff, won't hit you up for a minimum charge.
