Re: [FF]: The Person Draft
Quote:
I edited above but just in case... 1st Round: Mentors Please pick an adult mentor/engineer/parent from any team. Please specify team number and team role. A person may only be drafted once, no matter what. For example, If i draft Bob Saget under NEM, Cormier cannot draft Bob Saget under Mechanical. |

Re: [FF]: The Person Draft
In this round of the FF Person Draft I would like to select Lance Florian a mechanical mentor on team 195 who graciously allowed team 195 to utilize his shop for machining and also gave us a space in his building for a practice room. Without his help we would not be able to build a robot of this quality and innovation.

Re: [FF]: The Person Draft
Its 10:21 my turn. Hmm hard choice. I have had many great mentors whom inspire me daily. But one in particular sticks out in my mind. Chris Carnevale has been one of the best mentors I have ever had, and so I would like to graciously invite him to my alliance. Sorry JVN but carn had this coming. You were my coach and I am honored to have you on my alliance.

Re: [FF]: The Person Draft
This is a tough choice, do I take JVN, whos really got me intereseted in FIRST, and introduced me to all these people you are listing off. Or do I take Andy Baker, one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. Or maybe I'll chose Ken Patton, quite possibly the greatest guy I have ever met, and a huge inspiration to me. Then again, there's Dave Ferriera, he's a RhodeWarrior, what can I say?
after re-reading how this is being scored, I am going to take Dave Ferriera, of the legendary team 121 Last edited by Jay Trzaskos : 26-02-2007 at 23:13. Reason: read teh scoring outline again |

Re: [FF]: The Person Draft
Edit: I've amended my pick to choose a "dark horse" candidate.
I'd like Ian Mackenzie from 1114 for Mechanical, because he's the one behind the scenes who makes Karthik look good. Do I get bonus points for every event he refs at? Last edited by Travis Hoffman : 27-02-2007 at 00:02. |
