Re: DWF?

thanks.

i read the help file and realized all you have to do is just save the format in inventor. It's just like the java applet on the Autodesk manufacturing community website.

Re: DWF?

DWF stands for Design Web Format. The format is a vector format that allows viewing at any size on the internet without the loss of resolution like a bitmap image. In addition you can rotate, shade, turn parts in an assembly on/off, section. All of this with the DWF Viewer that is installed with all Autodesk Products.
Here is an example that includes embedded bitmap image on first page, then a combination of 3D and 2D pages. I think the 3D assembly is on page 3 or 4 and unfortunately when I saved it I was zoomed in but you can easily zoom out and rotate the model. The file is quite large (30 meg if I remember correctly). Takes a couple minutes to download. http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/stapler...d%20mather.dwf
Our server seems to be really slow today so if it doesn't download try again later.

With Design Review now free a lot more functionality can be had like measure and markup and easier combining of different pages.
