Re: paper: Codex Robotica Scouting System

I've unzipped the system and attempted to run the program. I have Microsoft .NET Framework Software Development Kit 2.0.

When I double click on the icon,
"Codex Robotica has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Do I need other software to run the program?

Re: paper: Codex Robotica Scouting System

I'm running the program fine, but it doesn't allow me use any sort of database. I can open a new database file, but after I go through all the windows and confirm a new database, it takes me back to the input screen, and will not allow me to either open a database, create a new one, or save my current one. My only choice is "exit program".

Re: paper: Codex Robotica Scouting System

I have a question. How hard would it be to add import teams to the database. Example, having six people in the stands and they all watch one robot individually and than they can at the end save their "export" their database to a network drive or to a jump drive or something so when it comes time to pick robots it is much easier to choose if you are a top eight seed. This is just a suggestion because I think many teams will use it if the feature is there. I am actually proposing it to the Captain and Field Chief of our team.

Thanks,
Pavan

Re: paper: Codex Robotica Scouting System

Error Message: Is the error message a windows message, or a .net error message? Secondly, do you have the .NET assemblies or just the SDK

Saving: As you add records they are saved to disk, you don't need to save. The ability to open another document and import another document while the program is running will be in the next update.

Sorting: please click on the table column headers, or use the filter function:
####<space>####<space>...

Match Scouting: I haven't had a chance to code it yet. I was waiting to see whether my team would have someone in the stands to use it before I coded it. I will hopefully get to code it this weekend.
