Sponsor logos and affixing wires

Does anyone know.....

#1 The rules about how we affix our sponsor logos on the robot? (can we use scotch tape, stickers, etc and what materials are banned)

#2 The rules about what we can / can't use to affix wires in the robot (eg. can we hot glue, rtv, etc... or do we need to use a lexan cover, etc...)

This one's answered in the manual, particularly <R35>:

Quote:
<R35>Adhesive backed tapes are NOT allowed except as follows:
 Velcro tape, any hook and loop tape or double-sided sticky foam may be used for attaching
components to the ROBOT.
 Reflective tape may be used with optical sensors in small amounts.
 Adhesive backed tape and labels may be used for labeling purposes on wires, cables,
pneumatic lines, etc.
 Electrical tape may be used as an electrical insulator.

By affix, do you mean in the sense of physically attaching a wire to a given component?

yep. During the competition, wires kept getting disonected from our team members sticking their hands in for repairs and such. We were wondering what would be and wouldnt be legal to secure the wires from disconecting and such.

Ya that happened to us a bit. The only match we lost was because our battery was not plugged in well and we jerked a bit on the way back to deploy our ramps and the cable fell out. The only time we tied was because our backup battery was dead so we couldn't deploy our ramps.

For wires, a dab of hot glue has worked for teams in the past.

I am a big fan of using zip ties. They work very well and if your robot has been 'Swiss Cheesed" than it is even easier.
