What it's really like.......

So week one has passed
and im sure everyone one else had had this on their mind
so thouse of you ladies and gentlemen who participated in this first weeks match...
What contributes to victory?
is it defence?
is the 60 points at end?
can rack scoring make a difference?
How about what could you ahve done better in your matches?
Are ramp bots key to a victorious team?
and anyother questions anyone else can come up with..

let us know please THANKS!
Jeff

if you really want to know how to win here what can help you out:1st: make sure you have some type of stragie
2nd:it is all ways a good idea to have a good offence and defence
3rd:if your allince is getting beat dont give up throw a spoiler out into the feild and put it on the allinces area were they can get the most points.
5th: make sure your ally dosen't throw a ringer on your robots arm ( happen to us a regional)
6th: if you got time deploy your ramp at least 15 seconds before time is up( this give your ally a chance to get up the ramp)

Re: What it's really like.......

At the VCU Regional, it seemed that all the best alliances had 1-2 scoring bots, at least 1 bot defending, and 1 bot capable of picking up 2 bots over 12" on the ramps.

By dropping the ramps early (30-45 seconds till end), most matches could be won just from the points of 1 bot getting up.
