There is a difference between a geek and a nerd. It is offensive to some to use the two interchangeably.


Just for clarification, the general sense is that:

Nerd - A person with above average intelligence but severely lacking in social skills.

Geek - A person with average intelligence or above and relatively normal social skills but an unusually focused interest in technology, mathematics, science, or otherwise overlooked interests in the general society.



That means all you pi day guys are geeks.
