Correct! Because of the loading and unloading of equipment, Friday-Sunday was the only days available to NYC FIRST.

Here's the full top 10 list.....

Top 10 Reasons to Come to the NYC FIRST Robotics Competition

4. World Capital.
New York City is the global leader in commerce and culture, the world's most intriguing and diverse city. A visit to New York is, quite simply, an unforgettable experience.
5. It’s Easy to Get Here & Great Value too.
With three major airports serving the New York City area there are flights available to New York from every city in the USA and from anywhere in the World. With more than one million flights a year at competitive prices, plus a wide range of hotel choices, New York is excellent value and an outstanding experience - Costs fall well below those of other major cities and world capitals.
6. Choice of Hotels.
New York City has more than 71,000 hotel rooms, so you’ll have your pick of location, price, and ambiance. Every destination says they've got something for everyone - New York really does!
7. One-of-a-kind Venues.
From historic Broadway theaters to an aircraft carrier-turned-museum, from an Egyptian temple to a space-age model of the universe, New York City has very special places to visit and enjoy. And there’s a restaurant in the city to cater for every conceivable culinary requirement.
8. Outstanding Transportation Options.
Getting to and around New York City is convenient, thanks to our three major airports, 13,000 taxis and limousines, 4,500 buses, 500 subway stations, and countless feeder roads. New York is a great place for walking as well!
9. 24-hour Service.
The city that never sleeps - need a laptop fixed at 1am or munchies for 50 hungry kids? No problem!
10. Come Stay Awhile.
Unparalleled opportunities for vacation and educational add-ons make a trip to New York City even more attractive. The FIRST teams from New York City would love to be your guide to this great city.

Re: 2007 New York City Regional

More great news from our New York City 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition Jacobs Javits venue!!!

Javits Wireless Internet Access

Wireless access is currently available throughout the Javits Convention Center. The service can accommodate one computer per connection and can only be subscribed to on site from the computer that will be accessing the Internet. Pricing is as follows (prices are subject to change):

56K bandwidth: $4.95 per hour
$29.95 per show day
$69.95 per three show days

256K bandwidth: $650 per seven show days

It is up to the customer to be familiar with using wireless services, as we do not offer technical support for connectivity issues.

Basic Connection Steps:

1. Turn on your wireless ready computer (from your booth or anywhere within the Javits Center) and select the "Javits" wireless access point.
2. Open up your internet browser and the sign up page will appear.
3. Please provide all the correct credit card and address information, otherwise the system will decline the credit card transaction, and the user will get locked out of the wireless network for the same duration of time they were trying to sign up for. (We therefore suggest that customers attempt to buy a (1) hour package first, so that if the card declines for any reason the user will only be locked out for (1) hour.)

Please be aware that VPN is not supported on our wireless network. We do not sell wireless cards or any other wireless accessories here on site.

The Javits wireless system is used primarily by our attendees and exhibitors to check email and browse the Internet. If you are planning to utilize the wireless network for an important core function within your booth we recommend that you call us prior to the event to discuss why our wired high-speed Internet options might be a better fit for your company.

Okay, it's not free, but if you need it, it's there!
Good luck! See you all on Sunday!

Yes she might be gone, but you have some equally qualified people on the floor this year. I hear the MC/Announcer combo for NYC will be amazing!
