I'm a little surprised too. They claim over 70 teams will be at the championships. I envisoned something like an FRC super-regional with 2 divisions. I have never been at one, but I hear these super regionals have about 80 teams. This would seem to match up best to the number of Vex teams at the Championships.
On the flip side, I believe I read somewhere that they would have 2 fileds. They will flip/flop matches to prevent any lost time with scoring and field reset. Maybe this is how they will be able to fit so many teams into one division. Scouting will be hard - especially since they will not release a list of teams (or at least they haven't yet)
