Thank you from Team 1345, Platinum Dragons.

It has been a great season. We, team 1345, would like to thank few teams and few individuals.

Andy Baker
– Andy, with the amount of orders you get throughout the build season, and the stress you put up with, thank you for dealing with us and thank you for always being on top of it to send us whatever we needed right away.

Team 1114
– The chassis that I designed was inspired by team 1114. Back in November, I was having a conversation with Karthik about my team and how the kids wanted to have a competitive chassis. After being pinned into a corner and being unable to score in 2006, the students didn’t want to go out there and get pinned again. Karthik directed me to Tyler who sat down with me and shared their prototype chassis to me. With few modifications, we were able to go out there and score without being pinned, more so we were able to say that we were flying across the field and stopping other teams from scoring.

Paul Copioli
– I have never gotten a fast response back from anyone like I have gotten one from Paul. We wanted to use their end effecter from 2005. There is always a simple solution to everything if you think hard. I asked Paul for few pictures of their 2005 robot, and within few hours there was an email sitting in my inbox with high resolution pictures.

John V. Neun
– Whenever it comes to design I run to Andy or John. They look at my designs, analyze it for a few and tell me how I can make it an effective product. Thanks again for taking some time out and consulting me with the design.

Team 237
– My buddies from Connecticut always keep in touch with me and always ask me if my team needs anything. Just like past season, they sent us a pack of goodies again and of course there is their programmer Mike, who sat down for 2 hours one night and wrote up a code for us, so we could test our robot next day (keeping in mind, we didn’t have a programmer at that time).

Team 710
– Even though they don’t exist anymore, they didn’t hesitate to come and join us. We gained two programmers from that team and needless to say, they were a great addition to the team. Ed, I hope you win the scholarship for WPI, and we all wish you our best of luck. Keep coming back to us; our door is always open for you.

Team 1902
– Seeing that we had some problems with the way electronics were put together, team 1902 didn’t hesitate to share Michael Coleman with us, so we could get our robot inspected by noon on Thursday.

We have learned a lot, but what counts the most is we know how to work as a team. Those kids make me go back to them every year and each year I gain so much respect for them. That robot was built through tears, blood, and sweat. The kids are very proud of it. Unfortunately, we were only registered for Florida regional, so that is the end of the season for the team. But the dragons will be back again as a strong force next year at the Florida super regional. Thank you for being role model to us; thank you for inspiring us.

Just incase you would like to take a look at all the matches we were in, they could be found here. Thanks for the Blue Alliance.
