All I have to say is that its a really big place and they have Wi-Fi and a pool! It's a very nice hotel and we had a lot of fun there last year.

All three Xerox Teams (191, 1126, 1450) will be staying at one of the Mariotts downtown - (The so called cheap one with no breakfast provided ) Here's a new one I just heard - they are having flight issues getting our teams back so they chartered a private plane to fly all 107 people back. Talk about big bucks - you already know how much regular flights cost I don't even want to ask what's this going to cost us. Unfortunately I won't be there this year or next to see how it's going to go.

The NEW Apple Corps is trying some new digs this year. For the past three we've stayed at the Wyndham (which changed to a Marriot) and this year we are staying at the Westin. Looks like a pretty plush place! Do they have walls large and light enought for an LCD projector and some X-Box??

I don't know why everyone liked the Omni so much... it had small rooms, and there wasn't anything special about it, other than the fact that a lot of teams stayed there.

We're staying at the Embassy Suites, which has rooms at least twice as big, with an excellent free breakfast in the morning. And it's pretty much the same distance from the dome as the Omni.

Last year, team 87 went to nationals and stayed at the Westin. I just want all you guys to know that it's the most amazing hotel ever. If you get a chance, go up to the very top and look out the windows, it's breathtaking. And any teams lucky enough to get a room on an upper level (my room was on the 60th floor) should invite everyone else up there to get a look, because it's that crazy. Well, all teams going, say hello to the syringe in the sky for me. (take a look it really does look like one)

OK, So I spent the last 2 hours putting everyone into Google Earth. Simple double click the attachment and it will add it to google earth. Your best bet is to turn off ALL layers (lodging, roads, etc..) So that only my FIRST.kmz is showing. You can now zoom in an click on any of the hotels to see the teams staying there.

OK, now this is our chance to fix stuff. If you see your team listed at a hotel that you are not geographically staying at, please let me know. There were a bunch of each type of hotel, but I assumed that most were downtown. Please check your team and the hotel. Simply look at the chart below. Find your team and the corresponding letter. Open the Google Earth Document and find that letter. If that is where you are staying, great! If not, please inform me other wise.

The only other glitch I found was the Towne Suites? (Can not be found.. Can I get an address/website for this hotel?) The other thing was the Indio hotel. I assume that this is the Indigo hotel. Please inform me otherwise.

Wow! This just in (2 days ago), 648 will be bringing a larger contingency to Atlanta than we did to Chicago. Three more alumni/mentors have signed up. Look for 648 to be loud and energetic. Our 648-107 bi-team party will be fun, too. Assuming 107 students show up this time?
