Re: pic: Delphi Elite giving a 60 point lift in the Buckeye Eliminations

Buckeye was an amazing experience for the Robocats, team 379.

Thanks to 291 and 48 for having confidence in us and selecting us, and to 1038 for the great picture! Team 1038: an awesome scoring machine.

Team 48 was our mentor team 8 years ago when we joined F.I.R.S.T. and only though there are only a few of us mentors/advisors who were around that long ago, we will never forget all that team 48 has done for us over the years, we all really appreciate it and we will continue to educate our new members about our history with Team 48 and look forward to continuing to work with you.
(a public side note for Neifer - you are a super coach and now a trusted friend, thank you for not letting me down!)
Together, with 2010 and 276, we're going to make "The Valley" a robotics powerhouse!!

It was sooooo fantastic that we (379 & 48) both had our first regional win-TOGETHER!

And to the NUMBER ONE SEED, Team 291/CIA, thank you and we had a great time!

I'd also like to publicly thank Team 48 for offering up some seats on their bus to Toronto. By changing our plans and sending a "mini" team" of 4-8 to Toronto, we'll save about $5,000 to apply to attending Nationals (as for the other $8,000 - ???? ).

We love team 48 and appreciate your help. Saturday night when we returned home was an unbelievable expression of spirit and grascious professionalism. 2010 being there too was a super surprise when we got off the bus, but in retrospect I'm not surprised - we love you guys too and look forward to Atlanta.

We can't wait to tell you about our police escort through town after we left your school! The night was a total adrenalin rush!
It will be great going to Toronto together (even though I'm not going!)

We hope we can rely on some other teams at Toronto to cheer for us and help us with scouting since we'll only be sending a few members, but look for ALL of us in Atlanta (we hope!).

I have to say, Team 48, you guys had one beastly robot out there, and you guys definitely deserved the 1st 'draft' pick during the alliance selections. Congratulations to you guys on the victory and defeating us in the semis, that was pretty cool stuff.

What an awesome post, Judy! Thank you so much for all the great comments! Breaking our 10-year streak of never winning a regional was amazing, and I didn't know how the day could get better. But when I saw your bus come around the corner back home in Warren, I had my answer.

Many thanks to our alliance captain, 291, for looking past our record and trusting us to be there for you!

And to 1038: our partners in Pittsburgh, our opponents in Cleveland...just a fantastic team with great mentors. I was glad going into the finals that one of us was going to win the gold, but I'm sorry it could only be one of us. Hope to see you all in Atlanta!

Great Job!!! I was amazed by the use of highly strategic play in that finals match, and in the end you guys pulled it off and not only won, but looked like a dominative team doing it. Very nice... Hope to see you all at Buckeye next year.
