Exclamation MPLinkTrouble

I've just installed MPLab (7.50) and the C18 Compiler (3.1 Student Edition) onto a new computer. Now, whenever i try to compile, i get these two errors:

Code:
MPLINK 4.1, Linker
Copyright (c) 2006 Microchip Technology Inc.
Error - Coff file format for 'ifi_library.o' is out of date.
Error - Could not build member 'ifi_library.o' in library file 'C:\Documents and Settings\CFS\My Documents\Iron Lyons 2007\Code\Code 2007 1.8\frc_camera_s_21\FRC_alltimers_8722.lib'.
Errors : 2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: MPLinkTrouble

You have to use compiler version 2.4(I think). The newer versions are not compatible with IFI's code and maybe the processor. Installing version 2.4 should solve this problem.

IFI's library files are not compatible with v2.4 of C18. the processor IS supported by the compiler v3.1.

Re: MPLinkTrouble

I never understood why IFI doesn't just recompile their libraries for 3.1... it should take all of 10 seconds.

If all it took was 10 seconds, I'm sure it would have been done by now. Unfortunately, things like that aren't always so easy, especially with embedded processors. See this post: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...99&postcount=8
